The Director of Legal for Mergers & Acquisitions will lead deal execution and provide legal support for portfolio companies, focusing on due diligence, agreements, and integration.

Provides high-level executive support to the Chief Operating Officer through proactive calendar and travel management, meeting coordination, board and leadership materials, OKR and action tracking, stakeholder liaison, correspondence, events, expenses, and process improvement. The role also coordinates cross-functional priorities and develops AI-enabled workflows while handling confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.

Originate proprietary acquisition opportunities for Banyan by mapping specialized software markets, identifying founder-owned businesses, conducting multichannel outreach, and building long-term relationships with founders and executives. Qualify potential targets, manage nurture programs and pipeline activity, maintain records in CRM and engagement systems, and transition promising opportunities to M&A leaders for deeper acquisition discussions.
