The IPAC Lead will oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program, providing education, managing surveillance, and coordinating outbreak protocols in a long-term care setting.

Plan, develop, and run recreation and leisure activities for long-term care residents to promote wellbeing, skills, relationships, and community engagement. Facilitate activities, maintain engaging environments, document participation and changes, communicate with families and volunteers, support other departments, and participate in program evaluation and quality improvement.

Provide clinical education and training for long-term care staff, residents, and families. Develop and deliver teaching programs using adult learning principles, promote best practices in dementia care, medication management, infection prevention, end-of-life care, and fall prevention, and support audit/accreditation readiness.

Provide meal service support for residents: set up, prepare, serve, clear tables, deliver trays, clean dishware and dining areas, assist with events, train new dietary staff, and follow health, safety, and provincial regulations.

The Registered Practical Nurse provides nursing care to residents, coordinates with healthcare teams, and oversees Personal Support Workers while adhering to policies and legal standards.

Oversee the residence business office including HR, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, resident trust accounts, admissions, and resident business files. Manage financial recordkeeping and reconciliations, respond to resident/family concerns within authority, and provide leadership and community-facing representation for the long-term care facility.

Coordinate and schedule meaningful recreational, social, spiritual, and volunteer programs for long-term care residents. Maintain activity calendars, support resident documentation (assessments, care plans, MDS coding, progress notes), manage family/resident councils, handle resident concerns, and organize outings, events, and volunteer placements.

The Executive Director oversees the operation of a Long-Term Care residence, ensuring quality resident care, safety, and efficient administrative processes.

The Recreation Aide develops and runs programs for seniors, fostering engagement and well-being through recreational activities in a long-term care setting.
