Toronto-based VerticalScope announced a leadership transition. The company appointed Chris Goodridge to serve as chief executive officer, and it brought on Ezra Menaged as its new chief operating officer. Goodridge succeeds founder Rob Laidlaw in the role of CEO, with the latter continuing his role as board chair.
VerticalScope operates a cloud-based digital platform that enables people with common interests to connect and share knowledge. The company has amassed a portfolio of 1,200 online communities with about 100 million monthly active users. Its archive of human-generated content includes over 2 billion posts.
Goodridge has served as president and COO of VerticalScope since 2020, helping the company fuel growth. VerticalScope expects his leadership will be instrumental to its focus on execution, speed and platform innovation as AI continues to change how users find and engage with content. Menaged will support Goodridge by scaling VerticalScope’s advertising tech platform and building an AI-driven content strategy.
