Tailscale, a Toronto-based company that develops networking solutions, secured a Series C funding round equal to $160 million. Led by Accel, the round will help Tailscale enhance its solution that allows companies to build secure private networks without the burden of time-consuming configurations.

As more companies work to establish and manage hybrid, remote and cloud networks, Tailscale offers a solution designed to reduce friction. Its platform helps businesses scale their networks while keeping identities at the core of secure connectivity, rather than IP addresses.

Backed by its new funding, Tailscale will invest in enhancing its solution to better serve businesses in the AI space and beyond. Alongside product innovation, the company will fuel global expansion and the growth of its engineering and product teams.
