Perigon Life, a new, Toronto-based voluntary benefits platform, has officially launched to improve how Canadian employees access and manage optional insurance coverage. According to a news release, the online platform enables employers and associations to offer voluntary benefits, such as critical illness, life, legal and identity theft insurance, at reduced group rates.
Martin Shaw, CEO of Perigon Life, said in a statement: “I launched Perigon Life because Canadians are underserved by current insurance distribution models that often overlook them. I’ve seen too many people lose vital coverage when changing jobs or face barriers accessing the benefits they deserve. Perigon Life is about more than business, it’s a commitment to closing the gaps that leave too many Canadians and their families unprotected.”
As part of its launch, Perigon Life is also introducing Perigon Care, a proactive wellness solution designed to address mental health in the workplace. This curated package offers employers an affordable, fixed-rate option to support employees’ overall health and well-being.
