Toronto now ranks as the third biggest tech hub in North America, thanks to its universities, immigration policies and innovation in artificial intelligence. The city has drawn some of the biggest tech companies in the world, and many more startups are likely to shape its IT scene in the future. IT Companies in Toronto to Know

PagerDuty offers a digital operations management platform utilized across various sectors, providing solutions for incident management, customer service and system monitoring to enhance organizational operations. With hundreds of available integrations, PagerDuty supports efficient digital operations for a diverse clientele, including globally recognized brands like Zoom, DoorDash and Peloton. The company operates offices worldwide with a location in Toronto.

 

KUBRA develops customer experience management software tailored for utility, insurance, finance and government sectors. Their portfolio includes billing and payment solutions like EZ-PAY alongside communication platforms like Notifi, which delivers personalized alerts across multiple channels. The company is headquartered near Toronto in Mississauga. 

 

Microsoft, which revolutionized the software industry with its Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite, continues to innovate in AI and other technologies. The Washington-state-based company employs 5,000 workers across its 11 Canada offices. Microsoft’s Canada’s operations are headquartered in its 132,000-square-foot Toronto office, which opened in 2022 with a staff of 2,500 employees.

Roughly 900 employees work out in the company’s Toronto office, which is the headquarters for Cisco Canada.

 

Adastra is an IT consulting firm that specializes in data governance, data warehousing and data analytics services, like automating the collection of ESG data. It also assists clients with cloud adoption, cybersecurity and AI solutions. The company, which was founded in the Toronto area in 1994, employs more than 2,100 employees worldwide.

 

Autodesk is the company that developed AutoCAD, a software that engineers and architects use to design models and prototypes. The company, which was founded in 1982, has built upon its AutoCAD success with 3D design software tools Revit and Inventor. The San Francisco-based company employs 13,700 people, including 250 in its Toronto office.
