Snowflake is looking for a Workplace Specialist to join the Global Workplace team and take responsibility and ownership for maintaining and managing our Toronto, Canada office.

You will hold the full scope of responsibilities from vendor relations to service experience to our employees, guests and partners. You will create and maintain a pleasant, aesthetic & functional work environment, inspiring our employees and ensuring that they experience a high level of organizational effectiveness, communication, safety and fun.

This is a full-time onsite position.

General Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the management of vendor service contracts, periodic and ongoing performance & financial review, conducting RFP’s, and assuring the performance of service providers

  • Accountable for the upkeep of a clean, safe and functional workspace for all employees through proactive programs and vendor management. 

  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to navigate, ERP system

  • Act as a liaison with Building Management for operations and maintenance

  • Maintain facilities task lists, create and review KPI reports, track new and existing trouble tickets

  • Use workplace technology and ensure the accuracy of space and workplace tools

  • Developing, metric, measure the delivering of employee experiences including but not limited to: Food & Beverage, Fitness, Transportation, Meeting & Events, and Amenities

  • Partner with Workplace technology programs to support a variety of technical systems such as -Space Management, Dashboards, Service desk, Employee experience app,

  • Help plan and execute any office related activities such as: seating shuffles, sustainability initiatives, renovations & office moves etc.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years facilities positions or similar roles (fast pace environment – big plus)

  • Exhibit analytical, strategic planning, and execution skills. 

  • Strategic approach to planning/problem solving combined with hands-on approach. Proven organizational skills. Strong execution skills meeting short deadlines - a must.

  • Proven experience with running a functional, engaging, aesthetic workplace: management of office  M&E systems, workplace service providers and housekeeping & catering team

  • Undertaking physical inspection of the facilities and premises and prioritizing maintenance as appropriate

  • Have an excellent track record of establishing relationships, influencing and negotiating competing priorities among business partners

  • Have a proven ability to deliver concise and simple written and verbal communications to cross-functional stakeholders 

  • Customer centric approach.

  • FMP or other industry certifications a bonus
