This role offers the opportunity to influence workforce strategy on a broad scale by developing innovative programs that connect talent to opportunity. You'll collaborate with leaders, community partners, educational institutions, and cross-functional teams to build sustainable workforce solutions that enhance team member development, increase community hiring, and drive organizational impact.

Through strategic program leadership, partnership development, and workforce innovation, you'll help shape the future of Advocate Health's workforce while making a meaningful difference in the lives of job seekers, team members, and the communities we serve.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to assess workforce needs and develop talent solutions that support organizational priorities.
  • Design and implement workforce development strategies, career pathway programs, apprenticeships, and community workforce initiatives.
  • Lead end-to-end program management for workforce development programs, including planning, execution, budgeting, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, workforce agencies, and other external partners.
  • Facilitate workforce development programs and training initiatives that enhance team member growth and create opportunities for internal career advancement.
  • Develop innovative workforce solutions that support diverse talent pipelines and advance inclusive hiring goals.
  • Research industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for program enhancement and organizational impact.
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to implement workforce strategies that address current and future talent needs.
  • Measure program outcomes and analyze data to evaluate effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and demonstrate business impact.
  • Influence decision-making and provide strategic consultation to leaders regarding workforce planning and development initiatives.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Seven or more years of experience in workforce development, organizational development, learning and development, human resources, consulting, or a related discipline.
  • Strong program and project management experience, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience developing workforce programs, career pathways, talent pipeline strategies, or community-based workforce initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent facilitation, consulting, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience evaluating program outcomes and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leaders and community stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business technologies.
Preferred
  • Experience leading workforce development initiatives within a large, complex healthcare organization.
  • Experience managing apprenticeship, youth workforce, career pathway, or community workforce programs.
  • Knowledge of workforce trends, talent development strategies, and inclusive hiring practices.
  • Experience partnering with educational institutions, workforce boards, and community organizations.
  • Demonstrated success driving innovative workforce solutions that improve talent attraction, development, and retention.
