🤙🏼 About gaiia

At gaiia, we're building the leading platform for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that truly care about their customers. Our core product is an operating system (OS) for telcos that manages billing, operations, automation and everything in between.

We're passionate about taking care of our people, and it's not just lip service. We want you to focus on your job while we care for everything else. We offer competitive pay and benefits, attractive stock options, unparalleled transparency, and a 100% remote environment. We're excited to have you join us for your next career adventure!

🎭 Role & Team

As a Workflow Automation Engineer in the Network Solutions team, you’ll build and evolve production-grade telecom provisioning and operational workflows using gaiia’s workflow builder and platform SDK.

You’ll partner day-to-day with a Network Solutions Engineer (network expert persona) who owns deep network discovery and architecture. Together, you’ll turn solution designs into reliable, observable, and maintainable automations that run at scale for customers.

This role sits at the intersection of customer-facing delivery and engineering: you’ll work closely with Customer Solutions and Engineering to ship workflows that are efficient, maintainable, and aligned with gaiia platform patterns.

💻 What You’re Going to Do
  1. Workflow Implementation:
    • Translate solution designs and customer requirements into end-to-end workflows using gaiia’s workflow builder.
    • Implement orchestration logic (conditions, retries, fallbacks, compensations, parallelism) to handle real-world edge cases and partial failures.
    • Build reusable workflow patterns and templates so implementations scale across customers and vendors.
    • Write TypeScript code steps when needed (data transforms, validations, custom logic) and keep workflows clean and testable.
  2. Customer Delivery, Ownership, and Coaching:
    • Own workflow outcomes end-to-end: from discovery handoff → implementation → rollout → support.
    • Troubleshoot production workflow runs using logs/metrics and improve workflows based on real incidents and customer feedback.
    • Coach customers on workflow best practices for self-serve, capability boundaries, and expectation management.
    • Influence the Workflow Builder’s roadmap by sharing recurring needs (new integrations, SDK improvements, UI features, etc.).

🎖️ Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Network Engineering), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years experience as a Software Engineer, Network Engineer or similar technical role within the broader B2B SaaS industry.
  • Strong software development fundamentals (TypeScript/JavaScript preferred).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to take ambiguous customer or operational requirements and turn them into clear, testable, supportable implementations.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a passion for technology and innovation.

🪄 Nice-to-have
  • Experience designing and implementing automation or orchestration systems (workflow engines, DAGs, integration pipelines, or similar).
  • Knowledge of network concepts.
  • Experience in telecom or OSS/BSS domains.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles.

💰Salary

At gaiia, we have a transparent salary philosophy and a robust evaluation and compensation framework. It translates to a fair and impartial model where salaries are published internally, healthy discussions about compensation and performance can exist, and taboos are removed.

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000.

🔆 Benefits
  • Flexible 25 days of vacation.
  • Stock Options Plan.
  • Group Insurance.
  • Telemedicine.
  • Life Spending Account.
  • Employee-sponsored RRSP.
  • Flexible working hours & all-remote work.

We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and diversity. Our workplace is fully remote and boasts accessible technologies, ensuring all team members can thrive. Should you require accommodations due to a disability during the application process, please contact us at 581-996-9639 or [email protected] as per the Accessible Canada Act and human rights legislation.
