About the Team:

Our Technology Team is a dynamic group of innovators, problem-solvers, and tech enthusiasts They drive digital transformation, elevate user experiences, and empower our company to thrive in the ever-evolving tech landscape. 

Purpose of the Role:

As a member of the Enterprise Applications group within the Technology Team, the Workday Specialist will be responsible for leading the transition from our current HRIS system to Workday. Post-implementation, the Workday Specialist will build and optimize HR business processes within Workday and serve as the key point of contact for all Workday HR-related inquiries, enhancements, and upgrades. 

This is a hybrid role that is open to our Toronto or Vancouver offices.  

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration from the current HRIS system to Workday, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.  
  • Develop, configure, and optimize HR business processes within Workday to meet organizational needs.  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Workday HR-related questions, issues, and enhancements.  
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to gather requirements and implement solutions.  
  • Provide ongoing support and training to HR staff on Workday functionalities and best practices.  
  • Monitor and manage Workday system updates, ensuring minimal disruption to HR operations.  
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Workday HR processes and configurations.  
  • Participate in the planning and execution of Workday upgrades and new feature implementations.  
  • Ensure data integrity and security within the Workday system.  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Workday, specifically in HR modules such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Onboarding, and Benefits.  
  • Proven experience in leading HRIS system migrations to Workday.  
  • Strong understanding of HR business processes and best practices.  
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Workday certification in HR modules is an asset.  
  • Experience with Workday reporting and analytics.  
  • Knowledge of Workday integrations and data management.  
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.  

Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a base salary range of $90,000 - $115,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
