The Workday HCM Continuous Value Services (CVS) Senior Manager provides expert guidance to the CVS management team and their subsequent team members. This individual will  play a key role in helping our clients plan and meet their business objectives and  ensure successful end user adoption for their Workday post-production support. This individual will provide senior level guidance and delivery of Workday solutions. The Senior Manager will assist the sales team with sales activities, including orals, estimations and Statements of Work (SOWs). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, and Managing Consultants to lead and  act as a liaison between the CVS teams and the Director of CVS. This person will assist in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.  

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, develop, manage, and retain a diverse, remote team of managers and consultants supporting technologies within the areas of Workday’s HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Learning and other cross functional teams.  

  • Promote a team oriented, challenging, and innovative work environment. 

  • Lead and manage team on multiple customer engagements. 

  • Work closely with engagement/project manager and team members to identify project needs and develop solutions and strategies. 

  • Ensure consultants are adhering to the activities, processes and procedures outlined in Workday’s and Cognizant Continuous Value Services methodologies. 

  • Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levels and meet utilization targets. 

  • Provide clients with expertise around best practices and Workday touchpoints. 

  • Ability to help client work through difficult decisions 

  • Assist engagement managers in forecasting for project team. 

  • Perform role of mentor and coach for people development. 

  • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday. 

  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging, and innovative work  environment.  

  • Lead and manage Managing Consultants to ensure consultants are adhering to the activities, processes and procedures outlined for our post- production services.

  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence.  

  • Work with resource management to assign resources to post-production work 

  • Assist with escalations dealing with resourcing or project concerns.  

  • Assist CVS leadership with oversight responsibility for CVS projects.  

  • Oversee and assist engagement/project managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk, and develop solutions and strategies.  

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for CVS work, review estimates for sales opportunities, review SOWs for language and accuracy, and attend Orals and prospect meetings. 

Skills & Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of Workday (or other ERP) Human Capital Management  implementation experience.  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.  

  • Knowledge in at least 3 different functional areas.  

  • Proven experience leading a virtual team.  

  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments.  

  • Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished 

  • Possess Sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects. Experience implementing enterprise management solutions (i.e. Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.)  

  • Experience gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying solutions to meet client requirements.  

  • Subject Matter Expertise in the respective functional area. 

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities with the capability to identify issues, analyze options, and implement effective solutions. 

  • Passion for exceptional client service.  

  • Proven experience managing multiple clients simultaneously, balancing competing priorities, and delivering consistent results. 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage client expectations and clearly convey complex information to clients and team members. 

  • Commitment to staying current with Workday updates, trends, and best practices through ongoing training and development

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.  

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.  

  • Current Workday core certification.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $166,653 - $205,474 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
