The Business Analyst on the PeopleComms Technology team plays a critical role in enabling Culture, Talent, and Development solutions across the enterprise. This role partners closely with the Enablement Lead and works cross-functionally with HR stakeholders, Engineering, Architecture, UX, and Product teams to translate business needs into scalable, high-quality technology solutions.

This individual brings a strong grounding in business analysis practices, experience within the HR domain, and a passion for improving colleague experiences through modern digital platforms.

Experience with Workday Core HCM, Learning, and Talent modules is strongly preferred. Experience with EdCast or Cornerstone is considered an asset.

Position ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis and Requirements Management
  • Interpret, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.

  • Research and document issues related to workflows, procedures, and business processes.

  • Translate business and user needs into Epics, Features, and User Stories.

  • Conduct requirements review sessions and manage changes using standard governance and control processes.

  • Interpret and document technical functional requirements in collaboration with technical teams.

Solution Design and Delivery Enablement
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to create detailed system and data flow diagrams for current and future-state solutions.

  • Coordinate recommended process changes, product enhancements, and implementations, including the development of test plans.

  • Facilitate design and solutioning sessions with project and delivery teams.

  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions aligned with business priorities and industry leading practices.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful implementation of enhancements or new capabilities.

Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Define acceptance testing frameworks and quality standards.

  • Translate user stories and use cases into test conditions and expected results.

  • Support product, performance, and user acceptance testing activities to ensure business outcomes are met.

User Experience and Product Optimization
  • Collaborate with UX and UI designers to improve overall user experience.

  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and feedback.

  • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to assess the impact of changes or new features.

  • Recommend experience and functionality enhancements based on data and user feedback.

Insights, Analytics, and Market Awareness
  • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, risks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Conduct regular evaluations of product performance against goals and benchmarks.

  • Perform market and industry research to understand emerging trends, user needs, and the competitive landscape.

  • Prepare and present reports, insights, and recommendations to business and technology stakeholders.

Stakeholder Partnership
  • Act as a key liaison between HR business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

  • Facilitate clear, timely communication across the project lifecycle.

  • Build trusted relationships across a broad range of functions and leadership levels.

Required Qualification: Experience and Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of business analysis principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex enterprise technology solutions.

  • HR domain experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with Workday Core HCM, Learning, and Talent modules is an asset.

  • Familiarity with EdCast or Cornerstone is considered an asset.

  • Understanding of system design, analysis, and user testing practices.

  • Familiarity with Agile and modern software development methodologies.

  • Experience working with enterprise-level systems and platforms.

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
