As the WhoScored Commercial and Marketing Executive, you’ll play a key role in driving both commercial and marketing initiatives for WhoScored’s global audience. This role combines commercial responsibility—such as selling sponsorships and inventory—with marketing execution to grow engagement and revenue across multiple channels.
You’ll support FairPlay Sports Media’s core objectives, including increasing bet-tech engagement, growing off-site communities, and driving subscription revenue. While you won’t have direct reports, you’ll collaborate closely with social, CRM, product, and content teams to deliver impactful campaigns and commercial outcomes.
You will be responsible for:
Commercial Sponsorship & Inventory Sales
Support selling sponsorship opportunities both on-site and off-site globally.
Drive sales of advertising inventory across WhoScored properties.
Work with bookmakers to integrate feeds and deliver innovative commercial solutions.
Community Growth & Monetisation
Support the growth of off-site communities and develop strategies to commercialise them effectively.
Bet-Tech Engagement
Increase organic and paid media engagement with betting technology globally, including odds, offers, and Bet Builder components, to drive revenue.
Subscription Growth
Play a key role in driving WhoScored subscriptions through targeted campaigns and retention strategies.
You will be accountable for:
Revenue Generation
Support in driving commercial revenue through sponsorships, inventory sales, and partnerships.
Identify and execute new global revenue opportunities.
User Engagement
Increase engagement with betting features and subscription products across WhoScored platforms.
Cross-Channel Marketing
Support social media, CRM, and product strategies to enhance brand visibility and user acquisition.
You will be supporting:
Product Development
Collaborate on product enhancements that improve engagement and monetisation.
Content & Social Campaigns
Work with editorial and social teams to activate campaigns around key football events.
CRM & Retention
Assist in developing CRM strategies to improve user retention and lifetime value.
Partnerships
Support relationships with bookmakers, media partners, and other stakeholders to maximise commercial opportunities.
Your Skillset:
2–3 years of experience in commercial or marketing roles within sport, entertainment, or digital media.
Strong understanding of football and betting markets, with awareness of fan behaviour and digital trends.
Proven ability to sell sponsorships and advertising inventory.
Skilled communicator with strong relationship-building abilities.
Experience in social media, CRM, and content marketing.
Comfortable analysing performance data and applying insights to improve results.
Proactive, commercially minded, and able to work collaboratively across teams.
