As a wealth management advisor at Desjardins Ontario Credit Union, you’re responsible for developing and maintaining lasting and trusting business relationships with members and clients, to ensure they’re satisfied. You listen to members’ and clients’ needs, offer them advice that fits their financial situation and help them choose appropriate solutions to meet their financial goals. 🎯 You’re responsible for individual and business clients working in the agriculture industry and developing close relationships with them. 🤝🏻 More specifically, you will be required to:

• Advise members and clients on the best strategies and determine target outcomes.

• Manage business relationships, assess member/client satisfaction and service quality, follow up and identify areas for improvement.

• Stay on top of financial services industry news, market trends and best practices in your field.

• Participate in outreach activities and be present in the community.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Mutual fund representative certificate from the Ontario Securities Commission

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Knowledge of the latest financial, economic, policy and legislative developments

  • Familiarity with analyzing consumer and business owner markets and the credit union’s external environment

  • Specialized knowledge of tax, financial and estate matters for individuals, businesses and business owners

  • Knowledge of legislative compliance requirements for the distribution of financial products and services

  • Available to work one evening a week
