***This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Oshawa Elevation Centre, three times per week at minimum.***
The Warranty Analyst is primarily responsible to assist in managing efficient payments to Dealers for performance of Warranty, Recall, PDI and Transportation repairs. The Warranty Analyst administers proper warranty, working in the best interest of the customer, dealership and GM, by implementing sound processes by leveraging support via various departments and ensuring completion of tasks on time every time.
A critical aspect of this position is to provide support for the Field staff and to assist other internal GM departments as required.
Additional Description

  • Provide warranty admin perspective on new/changed programs Eg ESC EV Battery process, GWM roadmap SAP
  • Warranty Parts Centre; follow-up/ assist DSMs on Dealer inquiries. Missing tags / late shipments, Provide update to WPC procedure bulletin, Manage field inspection requests and action Inspection Feedback reports
  • Manage Global Tire Warranty process for Canada
  • Point of contact for process questions; update of Service Bulletin, provide GWM override as necessary.
  • Review/provide edits for upcoming warranty related Product Service Bulletin's
  • Field Support and Questions: Delivery of information to DSMs that maximizes field contact time, GWM - "how to" on operation and reporting, Assist DSM on analyzing warranty issues.
  • Warranty Spend Reduction Initiatives; Controllables (Added Ops, Repeat Repair, Policy, Extra time), Focus Analytics, Formulate plan for field execution, Identify areas of opportunity, Machine Learning/AI data analytics and action
  • SASR implementation & follow-up, Training material, Tracking, Managing candidate selection
  • Participate in DSM monthly meeting agenda and deck; Back to Basic series, Special studies
  • Coordinate bi-weekly conference calls with WCC/WSC
  • Annual review and update to Service Policies & Procedures manual
  • Assist with Warranty Labour Rates
  • Assist with training plan of new DSMs
  • Manage PQC required Dealers; Analyze warranty metrics to produce list of Dealers for restriction, Communicate to Dealers
  • Respond to General Warranty Inquiries from other HQ Departments; Parts, Legal. Marketing
  • Review re-assigned H-route claims and provide recommendations to resolve.
  • Support Cross function and special initiatives as required


Qualifications:

  • College education in Business analytics or similar program
  • ideally 2-3 years previous Automotive Warrant Analyst experience
  • Savvy in excel and operating systems, Power BI etc
  • Demonstrated Analytical skill
