We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person B to join our team of skilled professionals based at our brand-new Brampton Plant. This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous manufacturing process environment.

 

Position Overview:

 

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·       Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification

·       Must be comfortable working outside in the elements

·       Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials

·       Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the Lot Location system.

·       Load/unload trucks

·       Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors

·       Assist with inventory counts as required

·       Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded/unloaded

 

Qualifications:

 

·       High school diploma or GED

·       Must have valid forklift certification class 1 license

·       Must be able to read a pick list

·       Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekends

·       Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical

·       2 years forklift experience

·       Previous experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferred

·       Able to work independently as well as part of a team

·       Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills

·       Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

·        

This is a full time non-unionized position.
