KEY OBJECTIVE:     
We are seeking an experienced VP,Pricing Actuary to lead pricing strategy, actuarial analysis, and product profitability support across Group Life, Group Health, and Travel Insurance. This role will report to the SVP, Life & A&H, Chubb Life and will have one direct report. The successful candidate will partner with underwriting, claims, finance, product, distribution, and senior leadership to support competitive pricing, renewals, and business growth for Chubb Canada.                                              

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:     
•    Develop general loss cost pricing models and associated differentials for product lines;
•    Provide individual account pricing support to senior management and product management as needed;
•    Lead pricing reviews, rate development, and profitability analysis;
•    Contribute to annual pricing studies and executive reporting;
•    Monitor portfolio performance, claims trends, and pricing actions to protect profitability;
•    Support recurring reporting and data requests using Qliksense and related systems;
•    Support reserve reviews, statutory reporting, and Appointed Actuary work as needed;
•    Help improve reporting, automation, and data quality;
•    Experience supporting recurring reporting, ad hoc finance requests, and executive materials;
•    Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of others;
•    Maintain and enhance monthly price monitor reporting;
•    Partner with the Chief Actuary Canada and the VP and Pricing Actuary, A&H North America
•    Develop and maintain pricing information database(s);
•    Develop expense and capital allocation models and processes;
•    Assist in providing annual analysis of capital adequacy to senior management and home office for consideration in capital position decisions;
•    Provide support in gathering reinsurance submission data and project subject premium as needed;
•    Provide planning and forecasting support to senior management, product management, and home office, as needed;
•    Support account pricing reviews (including renewals and new business), treaty discussions, and product changes through actuarial modelling and financial impact analysis;
•    Provide input into database development and management as needed to ensure data availability to support actuarial requirements.
 

Qualifications

•    Completion of a University Bachelor degree, in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Commerce/Business;
•    Fellow or Associate (FCIA / ACIA) of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries;
•    Minimum 15 years of appropriate actuarial pricing experience preferred;
•    Technically strong in actuarial pricing methods, including stochastic pricing methods;
•    Familiarity with Qliksense, GGY Axis, pricing models, and actuarial reporting tools;
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook).
•    Effective organizational and time management skills;
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as negotiation abilities.
