Role Overview


We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused VP, Platform Engineering & Cloud Infrastructure to lead our infrastructure, platform engineering, platform support, and security teams through our next phase of growth. You will bring deep technical expertise, strong operational leadership, and a proven ability to scale mission-critical SaaS platforms.


As VP, Platform Engineering & Cloud Infrastructure, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, scalability, availability, and performance of the d1g1t platform as we continue to expand.. You will lead the engineering and execution for cloud infrastructure, platform services, SRE/DevOps practices, as well as strive for operational excellence, ensure cost efficiency and improve uptime reliability. 

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for infrastructure, platform engineering, cloud operations, AI-enabled automation, and production support, aligned with company goals and growth trajectory..
  • Drive scalability and performance of the d1g1t platform as we expand data volumes; deliver measurable improvements in uptime, latency, and system throughput.
  • Set clear operational excellence objectives and metrics to improve reliability, incident management, automation, failure rates, SLAs compliance and cost efficiency
  • Oversee the architecture, maintenance, and optimization of cloud infrastructure.
    Manage core platform services, including APIs, databases, data pipelines, and networking.
  • Implement AI-driven cloud cost optimization, capacity forecasting, and intelligent scaling models to improve resource utilization and financial efficiency
  • Lead infrastructure modernization efforts such as cloud cost optimization, self-service infrastructure, AI-enabled monitoring and self-recovery or platform re-architecture as required
  • Ensure 24/7 operational readiness of production environments, supported by globally distributed cloud operations and support teams.
  • Own the end-to-end incident response process, including escalation, coordination, root-cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
  • Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity (BCP) strategies.
  • Design and implement AI-powered operational capabilities, including AIOps, predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, automated root-cause analysis, and self-healing infrastructure
  • Strengthen data integrity, privacy, protection, and access governance across all production systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, SEC/FINRA, and fintech data-protection requirements.
  • Oversee relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts and optimize costs
  • Manage team structure, budget planning, and resource allocation across multiple functional units
  • Lead and scale high-performing teams across platform engineering, DevOps, cloud support and security functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications


  • Advanced technical degree with previous experience leading infrastructure and cloud operations for a growing SaaS organization.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in technology operations, including platform engineering, infrastructure and cloud operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Previous experience in wealth management, financial services or financial technology industry an asset.
  • Strong technical knowledge and strong understanding of SaaS architecture, scalability, observability, and automation practices.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing AIOps solutions, AI-based monitoring systems, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation in production environments
  • Background in site reliability engineering principles and operational metrics.
  • Familiarity with fintech regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Expertise in data infrastructure or high availability transactional systems.
  • Strong operational, analytical and planning skills.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
