VP, Finance 

As VP, Finance, based at our Burlington, Ontario head office, you will report directly to the President and serve as a strategic business leader responsible for driving financial performance and operational excellence across Wolseley Canada Inc. To excel in this role, you will need to be a forward-thinking, data-driven leader with strong business acumen and a passion for uncovering insights behind financial performance and operational drivers. 

You will partner closely with executive leadership to ensure financial integrity, optimize profitability, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What you will do: 

  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership for Business Finance, Corporate Finance & Strategy, Pricing, Credit & Collections, Accounts Payable, and Data Analytics teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals 

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with long-term business goals 

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement 

  • Lead initiatives that optimize pricing, credit and collections, and accounts payable processes 

  • Drive advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to enable data-driven decision-making 

  • Partner with senior leadership to influence strategic decisions and deliver measurable results 

  • Enable and inspire finance leaders to develop their teams and individual talent through strategic coaching, while fostering a high-performance culture 

  • Other duties as assigned  

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 

  • CPA and/or CMA designation

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including corporate strategy and operational finance 

  • Exceptional commercial acumen and strategic thinking 

  • Expertise in pricing models, credit risk, and financial analytics 

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at the executive level 

  • Industry experience in Plumbing/HVAC, CPG, distribution, or wholesale is an asset 

  • Ability to travel across Canada (~10%)
