Job Summary:
The Finance Transformation Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the finance strategy, driving large-scale transformation initiatives, and ensuring the continued evolution of the Bank's Finance and Corporate Planning function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, technology enhancements, and new financial systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and agility. This position requires a dynamic leader with deep financial expertise, transformation experience, and the ability to partner closely with key stakeholders across the Bank.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to develop and execute the finance transformation roadmap, aligning it with the Bank’s overall strategic objectives.
Data analytics and financial insight: Promote the use of advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Transformation & Innovation: Lead end-to-end finance transformation projects, including process re-engineering, system integrations, automation, and digitalization of finance operations.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leaders across Finance, IT, Operations, Risk, and other business units to ensure alignment and effective communication of transformation goals.
Reporting & Analytics: Provide ongoing reporting to the CFO and other senior stakeholders, tracking progress against transformation goals and providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Financial Governance: Develop appropriate Policies and Procedures for financial accounting and reporting, including an effective Internal Control Environment.
Accounting Technical: Provide technical expertise and direction to identify and support the implementation of new financial accounting reporting standards and procedures.
Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance transformation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Coordinate and responding to internal and external audit reviews/queries.
Technical Skills:
Strong project management skills, with experience in managing complex transformation initiatives.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting standards and reporting requirements, internal controls
Experience & Abilities:
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in finance leadership roles, with at least 5 years leading finance transformation or process improvement initiatives in a banking or financial service industry.
Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to drive large-scale transformation efforts.
In-depth knowledge of finance processes, controls, reporting, and technology solutions.
A proactive, results-oriented leader with a passion for driving change.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Highly adaptable, with the ability to navigate complex, fast-changing environments.
Education & Training:
Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business
Designations – CPA, Chartered Accountant; CFA
