As the VP, Data, you will set the overall direction for our data department and play a key role in embedding data at the heart of Prodigy’s strategy. Your leadership will span across Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Science, driving innovation and change throughout the organization. You will work closely with the executive team to ensure that data drives strategic decisions, unlocks new business opportunities, and fosters a data-driven culture across the company. This is a pivotal role where your vision for data will help shape the future of game-based learning.

Your Impact

  • Define and execute the long-term data vision and strategy, aligning it with company-wide goals.
  • Lead the data teams across engineering, analytics, and data science, ensuring the successful delivery of impactful insights and business solutions.
  • Drive innovation in data methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to keep Prodigy at the forefront of data advancements.
  • Partner with executive leadership to influence the broader organizational strategy using data-driven insights and analytics.
  • Oversee the data roadmap, managing resources effectively while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Lead significant change initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of new tools, methodologies, and innovations.
  • Ensure data practices align with internal and external compliance standards to mitigate risk.
  • Build and foster a strong data-driven culture across all departments and levels within Prodigy.

About You

  • Experience in leading data functions across data engineering, analytics, and data science at a strategic level for companies with multi-sided platforms, ideally in B2C SaaS
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align data initiatives with company objectives and deliver business-driven outcomes.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing advanced data models, architectures, and best practices.
  • Experience managing significant change initiatives and adopting new tools, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Strong project management skills, with a history of overseeing data roadmaps and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop diverse data teams.
  • Experience building strong partnerships across departments and influencing organizational strategy with data-driven insights.
  • Ability to drive compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
