$114.70 - $183.50The Divisional MGOE (Medical Group Operations Executive) is a dual-purpose administrative leadership role, serving as both the Area MGOE for a specific Area and overseeing the performance and activities of the other Area MGOE within the Division.
Responsible for ensuring the coordinated and cohesive performance of the Advocate Health Medical Group across the Division with specific focus on promoting alignment and inter-connectedness amongst the Area MGOEs as well as between those leaders and the Divisional service line leadership to optimize clinical care delivery outcomes, align operations to enterprise strategies and standards, and ensure all other key performance indicators are achieved.
May be responsible for managing the Rural Health Partnerships in a division, along with respective Area and Division leadership executives, where appropriate.
Major Responsibilities:
Divisional Alignment & Performance Excellence
Divisional Performance Oversight & Optimization
Oversees, coordinates, and optimizes Divisional performance across the Area MGOE portfolio, ensuring achievement of defined key performance indicators.Cross-Area & Service Line Alignment
Drives collaboration and connectivity across Area MGOEs and Divisional service line leaders; balances priorities and resolves challenges across Area, Division, and Enterprise imperatives.Care Delivery Alignment & Strategic Fidelity
Ensures cohesive care delivery across Areas, reinforcing alignment to Enterprise and Divisional strategies while enabling value-added local variation where appropriate.Best Practice Sharing & Organizational Learning
Promotes the identification and spread of best practices and key performance drivers to advance shared learning across the Division.Executive Representation
Represents the SVP, Medical Group Clinical Operations in Divisional forums with administrative, physician, and corporate leaders, as needed.Performance & Efficiency Optimization
Proactively identifies synergies and efficiency opportunities to strengthen inter-Area alignment, enhance clinician experience, and maximize clinical and financial outcomes.
Area Medical Group Operations Executive Responsibilities
Clinical Integration & Operational Optimization
Ensures coordinated, efficient care delivery across the Area by integrating service lines, acute facilities, ambulatory sites, and centralized functions (e.g., PACT, Mission Control, Pharmacy, Lab, IT); serves as the administrative liaison between the Medical Group and corporate services.Strategy Alignment & Execution
Drives alignment of Area operations with enterprise strategy, translating priorities for the local workforce while enabling bidirectional feedback to ensure Area perspectives inform enterprise planning and implementation.Leader & Teammate Engagement
Acts as a primary communicator for enterprise and divisional initiatives; advances Best Place to Care efforts; maintains active rounding to strengthen engagement across physicians, APPs, RNs, and broader care teams.Resource Planning & Growth Prioritization
Contributes to clinician approvals, capital planning, budgeting, and resource prioritization; advises on Area growth strategies and strategic initiative sequencing in partnership with service line leadership.Academic Mission Enablement
Partners with academic leadership to support and coordinate Medical Group activities that advance the organization’s goals as a leading academic learning health system.Governance & Committee Leadership
Provides administrative leadership for physician and APP compensation committees, participates in value-based care governance, represents the Medical Group at the Area President’s Table, and leads additional committees as required.Clinician Alignment & Partnership Management
Supports engagement, performance optimization, and relationship management with aligned clinician groups, working closely with Area and Divisional service line leaders.Performance Management (Quality, Safety, Access, Experience)
Monitors KPI performance, identifies trends and improvement opportunities, partners to implement action plans, and reinforces a culture of continuous improvement aligned to the Advocate Health management system.Best Practice Adoption & Continuous Improvement
Identifies and scales enterprise best practices across the Area while recognizing and celebrating successes to reinforce performance culture.Policy Communication & Adherence
Ensures consistent communication and reinforcement of Medical Group policies and service expectations across the Area.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- MBA, MHA or advanced management degree preferred
Education Required:
- BS required, Master’s preferred
Experience Required:
- Ten years of progressive leadership experience up to and including five years at executive level involving health system operations, management, quality, and patient safety preferably in academic medical center setting or health system.
