** This position is an Onsite role based out of our Toronto, ON office **

About you
 

The Vice President, Capital Markets, will work in partnership with the Senior Vice President and President, Capital Markets | Canada to execute on Colliers’ revenue and market share growth strategy. The successful individual will assist in sourcing and maintaining client relationships, as well as overseeing areas of valuation and financial analysis. Additionally, you will work on the preparation of relevant material for pitches, proposals, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), and all other client presentations.
 

In this role, you will…

  • Work closely with the President, Capital Markets | Canada and Senior Leaders to lead business development and client relationship management, maintaining and expanding the client base by identifying new business opportunities.

  • Manage and lead Junior members of the Capital Markets team in the preparation and completion of proposals, presentations, CIMs and all other ad hoc projects.

  • Play a lead role in the preparation of proposals, pitches and CIMs, conducting, organizing, delegating, and suppling relevant qualitative and quantitative analyses in presentation form.

  • Develop strategies for pitches; will also be involved in presenting pitches to existing and potential clients.

  • Establish and maintain strong client communication channels to further solidify team operations and to promote the Capital Markets brand.

  • Assist in the coordination and growth of a streamlined Capital Markets | Canada platform.

  • Collaborate with Colliers Brokerage Advisors to help enhance their capabilities and provide added benefit to the client.
     

What you’ll bring

  • Real Estate license is required, in addition to 5 - 8 years of experience in a similar role within commercial real estate.

  • Relationships with Investors including REITs, Public Corporations, Pension Funds, and other large Institutional entitie s.

  •  Leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. Must be enterprising.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Firm grasp and understanding of business needs, client needs and the cultural/financial realities of organizations and the marketplace. Must be a strong leader.

  • Resourcefulness: You are hands-on; comfortable wearing multiple hats; and a “doer” who is always willing to pitch in and get the job done.

  • Bachelor’s degree. Post-secondary or advanced degree in finance, economics, real estate, or related field is an asset.
