Here at GSK, we require innovative thinking to stay ahead of diseases, as our patients deserve ambitious and bold ideas. The Canada Vaccines team is currently seeking a Marketing Director, Vaccines. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies, large team leadership, and achieving commercial goals. This role is highly visible and strategically significant within GSK, demanding an inspiring commercial leader and experienced marketer to lead the way.

This position will serve as a leader within the Canadian Vaccines Business Unit, reporting directly to the VP, Business Unit Head, Canada. This individual will be instrumental in driving continued growth for the brand, contributing significantly to GSK Canada's P&L, and increasing the immunization rates in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement country brand strategies and tactics, including brand and operational plans, performance monitoring, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement Brand Life Cycle Management, including strategic planning and forecasts.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders, including Regulatory, Pharmacies, Medical, Government Affairs, Market Access, regional, and Global teams to drive understanding and execution of plans.
  • Identify innovative brand opportunities that align with customer journeys.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA with 15+ years of marketing or other relevant commercial experience.
  • Strong brand management experience, demonstrating scientific, marketing, and competitive knowledge across various therapeutic areas, including vaccines (vaccines experience strongly preferred).
  • Strategy development expertise, particularly in complex and novel environments.
  • Ability to financially track tactical performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience.
  • Experience in effectively collaborating and influencing colleagues within a global commercial organization.
  • Generates multiple innovative ideas, solutions, and strategic options to deliver long-term benefits to customers and GSK.
  • Strong understanding of channels, pricing, and market access strategies.
  • Conducts market and brand opportunity analysis to develop actionable brand insights.
  • Willingness to work in our Milverton, Mississauga office 3 days per week in a hybrid model.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 20 + years of marketing experience, with a significant portion in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in vaccines marketing and lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and drive high performance in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that align with organizational goals.
