What we are doing is extremely hard, the classic moon shot. Few people in their life will be able to be a part of something like this, where if we are successful, the technologies we develop will solve some of the world’s most challenging problems, and literally change the world. And that is something to be excited about!
Your role and responsibilities:
As the in-house User Experience and Interface authority at Xanadu, you will play a key role in shaping the visual design and user experience of all Xanadu and PennyLane’s user-facing interfaces, enhancing our products and services. Your positive energy, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit will make you an invaluable asset to the Design and Product teams.
At Xanadu you will:

  • Enhance usability, navigation, and the accessibility of our designs.
  • Participate in the product development process to explore innovative ways for users to interact with PennyLane.
  • Create flowcharts, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups; iterate on designs based on user feedback and analytics.
  • Collaborate with the Design Lead to craft intuitive and impactful user interfaces and interactions.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand our design systems.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.

Basic qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years of industry experience with user-facing interface and user experience for web and mobile/tablet.
  • UX/UI (or equivalent) certification.
  • Proficiency in user interface design and web-user behaviour analysis tools.
  • Experience with user research, information architecture, interface design, interaction design, and prototyping.
  • Ability to communicate design concepts clearly and effectively, with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate high-level, sometimes technical requirements into interaction flows and artefacts that enhance the end-user experience and engage a broad audience with complex topics.
  • Proven track record of working closely with product managers to develop and refine product requirements, create solutions, and secure buy-in from stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Ability to analyse user data and metrics.
  • Experience working within the Agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, HTML/CSS or other developer coding platforms.
