Job Description

AECOM Mississauga is hiring a UX/UI Specialist to support a major infrastructure program.

The UX/UI Specialist will support the development of digital solutions by combining user research with UX/UI design. The role will work closely with business analysis, delivery and change management teams to understand user needs and help ensure digital solutions provide an effective user experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative user research across the project lifecycle, including journey mapping, interviews, usability assessments and persona development.
  • Plan and conduct user research engagements to understand user needs, behaviours and pain points.
  • Translate research findings and user insights into practical UX recommendations.
  • Create wireframes and low- to mid-fidelity UX/UI mockups to support business analysis and the development of digital solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams to help ensure solutions meet defined UX goals.
  • Collaborate with Change Management to support change and user engagement activities.

 

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 6 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Experience supporting digital programs and initiatives.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience supporting digital programs.
    • Experience in both UX and UI design.
    • Experience using Figma.
    • Experience planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research.
    • Experience developing journey maps, personas, wireframes and UX/UI mockups.
    • Experience conducting usability assessments and translating user research into actionable insights.
    • Experience working collaboratively with business analysis, delivery and change management teams.
