What you’ll be doing
Simplii Financial is transforming how millions of Canadians manage their money. The Design team is central to the Simplii organization. We turn complexity into clarity – working cross-functionally – to build features and experiences that solve real human problems. As a User Experience Researcher at Simplii Financial, you will be instrumental in shaping best-in-class, customer-facing digital experiences. You will leverage a variety of user research techniques and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive product improvements. Your work will help set the standard for usability, accessibility, and innovation, ensuring every interaction with our products delivers exceptional value to our customers.
At Simplii, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
User research and testing: You'll assist and perform generative, evaluative and causal user research using a variety of methods in collaboration with other user researchers (one-on-one interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting, analytics analysis).
Data Analysis, Interpretation and Presentation: You'll help analyze qualitative interview data using coding and quantitative survey results using statistical methods to surface recommendations. You will help in the planning, execution, analysis and presentation of studies to various stakeholders.
Empathy building: You'll interpret research findings and explain them in a way that's easy to understand to help build empathy.
Administration and teamwork: You'll help maintain a repository of research to help build a body of knowledge to assist in the development of product strategy.
Who you are
You have a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Cognitive Science, UX Design, Interaction Design, Anthropology, or a related field.
Demonstrate at least 3-5 year of relevant experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, including survey design and analysis, and proficiency in Excel and surveying tools; familiarity with UX platforms such as Figma, Maze, User Interviews, or Survey Monkey is an asset.
Exhibit strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills, with a collaborative approach to finding innovative solutions, effectively articulating research findings, and continuously seeking process improvements to optimize standards and outcomes.
You possess creativity: You are curious and enjoy working in a team to plan and envision a possible new product or service and to assess the product strategy and customer experience merits of that concept
You give attention to detail with an ability to summarize findings and identify trends
You show strong critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills
