At Arctic Wolf, we're not just navigating the cybersecurity landscape - we're redefining it. Our global team of dedicated Pack members is driving innovation and setting new industry standards every day. Our impact speaks for itself: we've earned recognition on the Forbes Cloud 100, CNBC Disruptor 50, Fortune Future 50, and Fortune Cyber 60 lists, and we recently took home the 2024 CRN Products of the Year award. We’re proud to be named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Managed Detection and Response Services and earning a Customers' Choice distinction from Gartner Peer Insights. Our Aurora Platform also received CRN’s Products of the Year award in the inaugural Security Operations Platform category. Join a company that’s not only leading, but also shaping, the future of security operations.

Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a UX Designer to be part of making this happen.

About the Role

The UX Designer will work closely with Agile development teams to design features and improvements to the Arctic Wolf product suite. You will work directly with Product Management and Developers to evaluate solution ideas, design prototypes, implement solutions, and validate those solutions with end users.

You should be able to provide several examples that demonstrate how you approach design, how you work with others, and what you have learned from each experience. You should come ready to showcase your skills and capabilities related to your problem-solving methods, attention to detail, well-crafted design, and the outcomes of your work.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with product owners to facilitate collaborative research workshops with stakeholders across the organization; prioritizing the results into actionable roadmaps that will generate measurable outcomes

  • You will work with Product leads, UX Researchers, and Developers to identify opportunities and deliver strategic design experiences that exceed customer expectations

  • You will design user journeys, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, for new or improved features for product development teams

  • You will design interfaces with a strong understanding of technical constraints, business objectives, and customer expectations in mind

  • You must communicate and present to key stakeholders on product development teams throughout the lifecycle of new or improved features, maintaining a culture of transparency and collaborative feedback

  • You will create and perform usability tests to validate designs and suggest iterative improvements to Arctic Wolf products

  • You will contribute to Arctic Wolf Design Guidelines, Design Principles and Design System

We value a culture of sharing, so every team has the opportunity to share their work with the entire department during our monthly R&D Demos. Once a year we hold a department-wide Hackathon, teaming up across all R&D teams, over four days, to collaborate and build cool ideas outside the normal project scope. With innovation as the focus, some of these ideas will become features in our products.

About You

  • Visual design expertise demonstrated through high-fidelity mock-ups, wireframes, user flows, interaction models, prototypes, or other applicable work

  • Fluency in best practices for information architecture, interaction design, user-centered design processes, and user experience principles

  • Proficiency using modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Lucid Suite, etc.) to solve complex problems and communicate in visually stunning detail

  • Highly collaborative and able to facilitate UX workshops and/or support UX workshops through note-taking, synthesis, and communication strategies

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Excellent and comfortable communication skills with an ability to present to and influence other designers and PMs.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to comprehend complex, technical product requirements and translate into effective product design strategies.

  • Strong ability to create complex design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

  • Experience working on design projects in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team including designers, product managers, and software developers.

  • Previous experience following a design system and design patterns is preferred but not required. You will have access to the Arctic Wolf design system.

  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • Experience working with analytics and data to help shape product decisions and empower tracking the effectiveness of change.

  • Previous security experience is preferred but not required. We provide all the cybersecurity training you need during onboarding and on-the-job training.

Interview Process

The interview process is approximately as follows:

  • Phone pre-screening: A recruiter contacts you to briefly discuss your work history and provide an overview of Arctic Wolf. Approximately 30 minutes.

  • Technical assessment: Several team members will conduct an interview to learn more about your experiences and skills. Be prepared to present and discuss past projects and your career goals. Approximately 1 hour.

  • Team interview: Several team members will conduct an interview to learn more about you and provide more information about your potential role and the team. Approximately 1 hour.
