About the Opportunity

Head of Markets Strategy and Execution is a member of the OKX US Senior Management Team reporting to the OKX US CEO.  The person filing this role will be responsible for establishing business and regulatory strategies designed to achieve the growth of OKX US and working across functions to implement the strategic plans.


What You’ll Be Doing
  • As part of the OKX US Senior Management Team, establish regulatory and other strategic objectives for the US business. This includes being the point person and internal thought leader for the development and execution of regulatory strategies across a number of products as they launch in the US.
  • Lead the implementation of regulatory and strategic initiatives to ensure the ability to offer products demanded by the market, meet business goals, and fulfill customer needs.
  • Ensure controls around all regulatory mandates for the US business are established and functioning appropriately (working with cross functional teams)
  • Work with internal stakeholders, such as Legal/Compliance, Risk, IT, and Sales, outside stakeholders, such as law firm counsel, consultants, lobbyists, and industry associations, to identify and implement strategies for ensuring OKX US can offer a full suite of cryptocurrency and advanced financial services within the US in compliance with all internal and external regulations.
  • Monitor industry and regulatory trends.
  • Act as OKX US primary business point of contact with the Legal and Compliance department.
  • Represent OKX US within TradFi and Defi industry associations.
  • Prepare and present regular updates to the CEO and Board of Directors.
What We Look For In You
  • Minimum 15 years of regulatory experience in financial services, including securities and commodities regulation, with experience in novel financial assets.
  • In-depth knowledge and previous experience with cryptocurrency and DeFi regulations.
  • Previous experience with exchange and clearing businesses and related regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of providing strategic regulatory advice and developing creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely across functions at all levels and to build and nurture relationships.
  • Experience working with C-Level executives and boards of directors.
  • Adaptable and resilient with an ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with trade associations and industry participants to advocate for policy change and improvements.
  • Experience working as a financial services regulator preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Ideal candidate possesses a graduate level degree (i.e., Masters or JD).

The salary range for this position is $252k - $378k. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
