ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST (SONOGRAPHER)

(MODIFIED FULL TIME - 0.8FTE) 

 

One (1) modified full time (0.8FTE) Ultrasound Sonographer position is available at Groves Memorial Community Hospital within our Diagnostic Imaging Department.

 

This position is unionized with the OPSEU – Local 236.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of a Canadian Accredited Ultrasound Training Program
  • Current Membership with the CMRTO and proof of professional liability insurance
  • Active member with Sonography Canada
  • NT (Nuchal Translucency) certification is preferred
  • Small parts, general, abdominal, obstetrical experience
  • Vascular (Carotids etc) ABI exams and MSK Shoulders and Knees etc) experience is preferred or working towards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with many and varied internal and external individuals, groups, and agencies
  • Other duties as required
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required
  • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired

 

HOURS OF WORK: 

  • Available for all shifts (days, evenings & weekends) as per department schedule
  • Stand-by/On-call as per department needs

 

SALARY:

  •  $42.39 - $52.64 per hour
