Baker Tilly is a leading advisory and accounting firm dedicated to building better futures. With global reach and local roots, we combine the scale of a network with the trust of strong relationships. From audit and tax to consulting and specialist advisory services, we help clients navigate complexity and seize opportunity with clarity.

The firm is seeking a Non-Equity Partner in US Corporate Tax to lead an established and growing US tax practice. This role will take ownership of compliance and advisory delivery across a large and active client base, manage increasing workload volumes, and build the team, processes, and structure required to support continued growth.

A hands-on operator who leads delivery, manages team capacity, and supports both compliance and advisory work. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to:

  • Manage high-volume compliance cycles and deadlines

This is not a pure technical specialist role. It requires a partner who can run a practice.

What You Bring:

  • CPA (US) preferred (aligned to practice leadership expectation)
  • CPA (Canada) asset
  • EA acceptable
  • Strong US corporate tax compliance and advisory capability
  • Practical exposure to US tax operational delivery and workflow management
  • Familiarity with cross-border tax considerations and coordination with Canadian teams
  • Exposure to indirect and sales tax workstreams emerging within the practice
  • Ability to support ad hoc advisory and consulting engagements
  • Years of experience: 10–18 years in US tax, including leadership experience
  • Current level: Senior Manager, Director, Principal, or Non-Equity Partner
  • Firm background: Big 4, national firm, or US-focused tax group
  • Client profile: US corporations, Canadian companies with US operations
  • Geography: GTA-based; hybrid model

Why this role:

  • Immediate ownership of an established US tax practice
  • High demand environment with growing client volume
  • Visibility and control over practice operations and team structure
  • Direct integration with cross-border advisory practice

What’s in it for you?

  • Clear career progression and advancement opportunities
  • Ongoing professional development, including paid courses, certification and membership dues
  • Competitive total compensation package including extended health care, dental and group life benefits
  • Annual bonus
  • Health and wellness spending account
  • Convenient access to virtual healthcare, including online physician consultations when you need it
  • A collaborative, open-door culture with direct access to leadership
