Role Summary

The Traffic Controller is responsible for managing vehicle flow and ensuring safe, organized, and efficient traffic movement within hotel and event premises. This role is critical in maintaining smooth ramp operations, preventing congestion, and supporting overall site safety. Traffic Controllers report directly to the Ramp Captain, the on-site shift supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and control vehicle traffic in designated areas to ensure safe and efficient flow
  • Coordinate closely with the Ramp Captain to manage peak periods and special events
  • Monitor entry and exit points to prevent congestion and maintain order
  • Provide clear and professional instructions to guests and drivers
  • Identify and respond promptly to safety hazards or operational issues
  • Ensure compliance with site-specific safety procedures and traffic regulations
  • Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents or delays
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support seamless operations
  • Maintain a professional and service-oriented demeanor at all times.

Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and assertive in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent situational awareness and attention to safety
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to follow supervisory direction
  • Previous experience in traffic control, security, valet operations, or hospitality (asset)
  • The candidate must currently reside in Canada
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Available to work Thursday to Sunday with typical shift times of 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
