Purpose of the Role:

We have an exciting internship opportunity within our Total Rewards & People Operations team for a student enrolled in post-secondary studies specializing in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, or Analytics. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting while contributing to a dynamic, client-focused environment.

As a Total Rewards & People Operations Intern, you will provide analytical and operational support that helps strengthen employee experience and improve how we deliver core People & Culture services. You will contribute to compensation and reward initiatives by supporting benchmarking activities, reviewing and maintaining job architecture, and researching special topics. In parallel, you will support People Operations through data validation, reporting, dashboard development, and the upkeep of People & Culture resources. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with datasets, and the ability to translate data into clear, concise insights.

This will be a 3-month internship starting in June 2026. The location will be a hybrid of work from home and an in-office environment at our Toronto office.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of and analysis of compensation (benchmarking) surveys.
  • Analyze base salary structures and variable pay programs.
  • Review recognition programs and processes.
  • Update and maintain job families, levels, and position codes.
  • Conduct research on special topics.
  • Assist with data validation, analysis, reporting and creating dashboards.
  • Assist with updating People & Culture documents and employee resources.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and escalating issues as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited Canadian university/college in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, Analytics, or a related field; and Coursework and / or experience in compensation, HR operations, analytics are an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with datasets
  • Ability to interpret data and generate clear, concise insights
  • Experience in compensation (job evaluation, market data, salary structures) and HRIS tools an asset.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and think critically to seek out information and solutions independently.
  • Experience working independently, as well as in partnership with other team members.
  • Comfortable supporting both structured projects and ad hoc requests.
  • High level of discretion and respect for confidentiality.
  • Available full-time for the full summer term.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada for the full term.
Compensation & Benefits Package:

Our internship position offers a competitive market salary of $26 per hour, along with additional benefits.
