We’re looking for a Senior Test Engineer / Analyst (Contract) to support the delivery of a Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) system on the DoneSafe platform.
This is a high‑impact contract role within a fast‑moving programme delivering systems that genuinely matter supporting safety, compliance, and real‑world outcomes across the organisation.
If you’re an experienced tester who enjoys stepping into complex delivery environments, working at pace, and contributing immediately to meaningful outcomes, this role will suit you well.
Reporting to the Project Test Lead, you’ll be embedded in the delivery team and responsible for driving quality across HSW‑focused project workstreams by:
Taking ownership of testing activities across assigned workstreams, with a strong focus on HSW and compliance‑driven functionality
Applying risk‑based testing to prioritise effort against safety‑critical and high‑impact areas
Analysing business and technical requirements and translating them into effective test scenarios
Executing functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing to support confident releases
Identifying, managing, and driving resolution of defects at pace
Providing clear, concise test progress, risk, and quality updates to the Project Test Lead
Working closely with delivery, product, and technical teams to resolve issues quickly and keep delivery moving
Producing fit‑for‑purpose test artefacts and evidence aligned to HSW compliance and project expectations
Automation forms part of the delivery expectations, and you’ll contribute by:
Developing and maintaining Playwright‑based automated tests (TypeScript preferred)
Focusing automation effort on high‑value regression and repeatable scenarios
Executing and integrating automated tests via Azure DevOps (ADO) Pipelines
Ensuring automation results, logs, and evidence are reliable and suitable for reporting and compliance needs
Working pragmatically with the Project Test Lead to balance manual and automated testing in line with delivery priorities
Contributing to shared automation patterns, standards, and continuous improvement where appropriate

What we’re looking forProven experience as a Senior Test Engineer/Analyst, ideally in contract delivery roles
Strong experience testing enterprise or compliance‑driven systems
Experience with HSW platforms or safety‑critical systems (highly desirable)
Hands‑on experience with Playwright and Azure DevOps Pipelines (or closely aligned tooling)
Confidence working in complex programmes with tight timelines
A pragmatic, outcome‑focused mindset and the ability to integrate quickly into delivery teams
