The Test Automation Designer Coop/Intern will develop scripts, execute test plans, investigate product defects, and maintain test beds in a fast-paced environment.
Position: Test Automation Designer Coop/Intern
Number of Position(s): 1
Duration: 4 Months
Date: Fall Term (Sept 8th - Dec 18th)
Location: In office at 600 March Rd. Ottawa, Canada.
As a part of our team, you will:
- Development of scripts or applications (XML, REST, JavaScript, Perl) to simulate various management activities and network scenarios.
- Development and execution of test plans to validate functional aspects of the product.
- Investigation of product defects encountered during test scenarios.
- Execution of tests and maintenance of regression and performance test beds, including publishing results and developing additional functionality.
- Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Engineering/Computer Science, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
- Strong programming (Java, Perl, XML, JS) and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Knowledge of software and/or testing methodologies
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience using development tools like Git, IDEs, Jira, and Teams
- Networking and telecommunications knowledge
- Linux operating environment, Windows, Virtual Machines
