As a territory sales coordinator, you will assist in the business development efforts of the wholesaling teams and will Report to the Regional Vice-President but provide support to the Regional Sales Director with multiple tasks focused on territory management. You assist members and clients and help maintain business relationships. You carry out sales, sales support and client relations activities for specific products and services or in response to information requests in accordance with current practices, tailoring your approach as needed. You draw on your interpersonal savvy and communication skills to ensure member/client satisfaction and service quality in accordance with the organization’s standards and procedures. More specifically, you will be required to:
Facilitate access to Investment Advisors and branches within the defined sales territory, working closely with them to ensure that all Investment Advisors in the territory are being covered. This includes supplementing their efforts at scheduling and confirming regular one-on-one meetings and branch presentations when needed, responding to basic inquiries from advisors, maintaining current records in CRM i.e. mailing & e-mail addresses, phone numbers and ensuring that advisors are properly assigned to the team they belong to
Assist the RSD/RSC in maintaining regular contact with Investment Advisors via telephone, mail, e-mail, and conference calls with guidance from Sales Management Team AND proactively plan and organize activities such as client appreciation events: golf, dinner, theatre, sports events on behalf of your team.
Assist RSD/RSC in strengthening relationships with Investment Advisors through business promotion activities
Administer dealer support requests based on approval from RSD/RSC, taking ownership over the co-op marketing process from start to finish. Ensure compliance with National Instrument 81-105 Mutual Fund Sales Practice Rules by following Desjardins’ policies & procedures
Act as a conduit to all sales/marketing activities to ensure maximum impact in the defined sales territory. This includes “championing” service issues, preparing the RSD/RSC for one-on-one meetings and branch presentations, fulfilling “promotional item” requests and marketing material requests, and quarterbacking sales lead and follow-up programs, CE credit completion
Help the team with investment proposals, portfolio comparisons and product comparisons.
Support the Regional Sales Director in completing their monthly expenses to ensure timeliness and accuracy
Provide Sales Management with dynamic and recurring reporting

What you bring to the table
College diploma in a related field
A minimum of two years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
IFIC mutual funds course or CSC
Basic knowledge of business, sales and/or marketing
Basic knowledge of the investment industry
Available to travel up to 15% of the year
