We have an opportunity for a Territory Account Representative to join our Pentair Canada, Inc. team. You will be responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion within the province of Ontario for Pentair’s Flow Technologies portfolio. This role manages and grows business through an established distribution network while developing strong relationships with contractors, consulting engineers, municipalities, and end users across the Water Supply, Water Disposal, and Agriculture/Irrigation markets. This position requires a consultative, field‑based sales approach, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to influence both channel partners and specifying stakeholders in a competitive Ontario market.

Ideal candidates will be located anywhere in the Ontario province.  

You will:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned product lines within the Ontario territory.
  • Represent and promote Pentair brands including Sta‑Rite, Myers, Hydromatic, Berkeley, using approved Canadian marketing programs and sales tools.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Ontario‑based distributors, contractors, and end users, including well drillers, plumbers, irrigation specialists, pump installers, and municipal stakeholders.
  • Build and influence relationships with consulting engineers, municipalities, and specifying authorities to drive product specification and long‑term demand.
  • Drive end‑user demand and product conversion through regular field activity, jobsite visits, and customer meetings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and valued solutions across Water Supply, Water Disposal, and Agriculture/Irrigation segments.
  • Deliver product training, technical presentations, and educational seminars for distributors, contractors, and end users throughout Ontario.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, technical support, and marketing teams to execute territory plans and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline updates, and customer activity records using CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Effectively plan and manage a home‑based schedule to balance GTA and regional Ontario coverage.
  • Travel regularly within Ontario, including overnight travel for customer visits, training sessions, trade shows, and industry events.

Key Qualifications: 

  • 3–5 years of successful experience in a territory or field sales role, preferably within Ontario.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a large, geographically diverse Ontario territory.
  • Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation, and follow‑up skills.
  • Comfortable delivering in‑person presentations and technical training sessions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM platforms
  • Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and capable of working independently in a home‑based role.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario distribution models, contractor channels, and municipal procurement processes is a strong asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Demonstrate track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling technical, specified, or engineered products preferred.
  • Prior experience in the pump, water, irrigation, or related industrial markets strongly preferred.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the province.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers across urban (GTA) and regional Ontario markets.
  • Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset but not required.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated TTC range will be from $80000 - $148500 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus and/or sales incentives.
