- Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop exterior envelope building systems for various construction and renovation projects
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and specifications related to exterior envelope systems using AutoCAD or Revit software
- Conduct thorough research on building envelope materials, technologies, and construction methods to ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards
- Participate in project meetings to provide input on exterior envelope design and integration with other building systems
- Perform on-site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards
- Review and evaluate contractor submittals related to exterior envelope systems
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors to source appropriate building envelope materials and components
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior architectural technologists and other team members as required
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in exterior envelope design and construction
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in building envelope design and detailing
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software
- Extensive knowledge of building codes and construction methods related to exterior envelope systems
- Familiarity with energy-efficient and sustainable building practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively
- Proven experience in project coordination and construction administration
- Understanding of architectural design principles and integration of building systems
