Location: Mississauga, Canada

What You’ll Do

  • Perform peer edits to maintain consistency among writers.
  • Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve overall quality.
  • Ensure documentation adheres to company standards and guidelines.
  • Edit and publish knowledge base articles.
  • Edit release notes for clarity and accuracy.
  • Design and write online help.
  • Use SOTI products to learn and gain product expertise.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Development, and other internal teams.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of documentation processes and best practices.
  • Be the ‘Voice of the User’ within the company.
  • Work independently and with limited supervision.

Qualification:

  • 3-5 years as a technical writer, technical editor, or related technical experience.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in mobile, Cloud, client-server, or other enterprise technologies.
  • Experience in or knowledge of Mobile Device Management as well as Server and Cloud infrastructure.

Technical Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for web-based documentation.
  • Knowledge of XML editors such as Oxygen XML Editor.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Microsoft Word
  • Camtasia or similar video recording software.
  • Jira
