Job Description

Broadridge is Growing! We are seeking a Technical Solutions Lead (TSL) who will be responsible for interacting directly with our larger Clients and the Project Engagement Teams to define and develop technical solutions, products and process solutions to be delivered to the client based on their agreed upon requirements.  As well as supporting efficient strategies and tactics to ensure engagement initiative goals are met and projects are delivered in a timely manner with exceptional quality supporting our development partners throughout the SDLC process.

This role will be engaged throughout the entire project life cycle of an engagement. The TSL will be partnering with Project Managers, Business Solution Lead (BSL), Delivery leads and Executives, as well as our larger Clients during the Client’s business transformation to our suite of financial software products to ensure a positive outcome for the Client.  In addition, you will be working with and supporting the sales team to assist with defining project scope.

Work Mode: We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed.  This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be coming into our Toronto office 2 days a week and given the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role you will be the Lead Technical Subject Matter Expert (TSME) to our clients. Utilizing your well-developed software development skills to support our services organizations, you will provide a consulting role partnering with our larger clients during their technical implementation of our suite of financial software products.

  • Serve as the primary technical requirements point of contact with clients to interface with Broadridge.
  • Translate client software development process requirements into future-state processes, supporting or preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) along side the BSS/BSL associates.
  • Providing augmentation to all document and analyze the required information and data to understand and support the development processes.
  • Contribute to and ensure all project planning and internal requirements/steps are accounted for and actioned appropriately in the Project Plans.
  • Oversee the clients’ technical requirements throughout the SDLC
  • Maintain a strong familiarity with technical integration patterns, Broadridge’s API definitions and business usage.
  • Host working sessions for Architects and Developers.
  • Design process flow illustrations including Postman Collections.
  • Supporting Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) walkthroughs with clients, Broadridge’s architecture and development teams.
  • Liaise as required with client vendors in support of technical integration.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, training sessions, sales support to clients and potential stakeholders.
  • Support clients during the software configuration process to meet their technical needs.
  • Travel on-site to client locations as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • College Diploma or University Degree, preferably in a Technical and/or Computer Science/Software related discipline
  • Any investment industry related certifications that pertain to investments and/or registered product management would be considered an asset.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in Software Development, Software Engineer or technical subject matter expert role
  • Experience in the financial services sector. Knowledge of Term Deposits, Mutual Funds, Equities, ETF, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software architecture and agile SDLC
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in multi-processing, threading, synchronization, concurrency, latency, and bandwidth.
  • Advanced analytic, diagnostic, and debugging skills
  • Expert in building secure, reliable, and scalable API
  • Experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, temp tables, indexes and data management techniques.
  • Knowledge of SOA, DDD, CQRS, micro-services and disaster recovery designs.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, advancements, methodologies, and best practices in cloud technologies including serverless architecture and advanced data storage techniques 

Skills:

  • Financial industry knowledge including regulators and regulations (IIROC, MFDA, OSFI, FATCA, AML, CASL, etc.)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and SDLC
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, “service-first” attitude combined with superior interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently on projects with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
  • Experience with Java, C#, XML Messaging, Eclipse IDE, Subversion (SVN), Postman (including JavaScript), J-Meter, and LoadRunner.
  • Working knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Fully bilingual (French / English verbal and written) would be an asset
