The Resource Coordinator is responsible for effective staff allocation, enabling efficient workflow and effectively reducing delivery risks within the SDLC. 


As a member of the Resource Management team working in the Technology practice you will report into the Director, Resource and Capacity Planning. The Resource Coordinator is responsible for executing the Resource Management strategy within a specific business unit and is a trusted partner to our business leaders. Using critical thinking and creative solutioning, the RC facilitates staffing placements taking into consideration completing business needs, project requirements, practitioners experience, availability and development plans.


The Resource Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting with supply and demand management. The ideal candidate will have strong soft skills, superior communication and organizational skills, strong Excel skills and the ability to effectively multi-task. The Resource Coordinator provides timely, accurate, value-added reporting to leadership and project teams and works closely with other Resource Managers to analyze the data and effectively staff project teams.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain optimal staffing utilization for multiple disciplines
  • Allocate resources proactively and in real time
  • Manage allocation of shared staffing pools via scenario planning and workload balance 
  • Coordinate rapid change management 
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and enable adherence to best practices
  • Maintain skills matrix

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 yrs in professional services environment, IT operations or resource management office
  • Effective verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and high volume of change
  • Ability to create impact and influence with negotiation to drive motivation and alignment
  • Project coordination Mediation skills
  • Create calmness and clarity
  • Adept at thriving in a rapid change management environment
  • Knowledge of SDLC

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Resource Management Institute RMO best practices
