About the team

The Technical Project Manager will reside within the PMO team and report to the Lead Technical Project Manager. The technical project manager will be a strategic and tactical partner in project discovery, planning, delivery and execution across the ESPN BET Sportsbook, theScoreBet Sportsbook, and theScore Media products. The ideal candidate will be self motivated, team oriented, and possess a strong ability to effectively problem solve in the support of delivery of strategic business priorities.   

About the work

  • Own technical projects from conception of scope to delivery of milestones within a fast paced environment.
  • Work alongside Engineering, Product and Business stakeholders to identify and gather both business and technical requirements.
  • Alongside project leadership, define clear roles, responsibilities, dependencies, and deliverables within the project workstream.
  • Create and maintain project plans and relevant documentation with team members, including product, engineering leadership, and external third parties.
  • Communicate clearly across teams and roles to ensure transparency of status, risks, and dependencies to both engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, leads, and other members of the PMO team to escalate risks and blockers.
  • Work efficiently to identify and quickly resolve changes in scope, schedules and resource requirements. 

About you 

  • Bachelors degree with minimum 3 years of experience working  in project management space.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment and promoting a team-first mentality.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical participants.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while motivating others. 

Bonus

  • Project management certifications (PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PgMP, PMI-RMP, etc).
  • A passion and knowledge for sports and/or sports betting and iGaming.
