Your Team

The Engineering Project Management team is passionate about promoting Agile best practices to our Engineering teams. The Engineering teams are building software to help digital forensics professionals solve challenging cases, and having a high performing Engineering team needs strong Technical Project Managers to support them. We bring clarity to priorities, metrics to help uncover sticking points and opportunities, and we bring a few laughs to team ceremonies! We value experimentation and collaboration in our team.

A Technical Project Manager in Engineering helps to deliver features on time and with quality. They will coach their team in Agile principles and practices.

What You Will Accomplish:

· Ensuring all team members are working on the right priority tasks and tickets.

· Using Agile metrics to steer work to successful completion.

· Removing and facilitating clearing of team impediments.

· Reporting on project health for all active projects through the full SDLC (conception through to post release support).

· Chairing all project related meetings detailing the action items, owners, and due dates.

· Producing and communicating project health documentation to all project stakeholders.

· Identifying and facilitating opportunities to improve team’s effectiveness.

· Communicating and tracking deliverables with external dependencies and/or customers.

What We Are Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have ‘been there, done that”. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.

There are a couple must haves, but we will keep that list short:

· Experience with project management in continuous deployment or Agile environment.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Demonstrated decision-making skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities.

Nice-to-Haves:

· Minimum of 4 years’ project management experience and experience with multiple concurrent projects of increasing complexity.

· Experience managing SaaS projects.

· Experience with project planning techniques and automated project planning tools.

· Demonstrated understanding of software development and test methodologies.

· Possess the ability to learn new technology quickly and effectively.

The Most Important Thing

We’re looking for candidates that can provide examples of how they have demonstrated Magnet CODE in their previous experiences:

CARE – We care about each other and our mission to make a difference in the world.

OWN – We are accountable for our results – while never forgetting to act with integrity, empathy, and respect.

DEDICATE – We put our heart and soul into meeting the needs of our customers and helping them serve the people they protect.

EVOLVE – We are constantly innovating and exploring new ways to work together to make an impact with our work.
