About the Role

Join Labelbox as a Program Manager, where you will lead high-impact initiatives at the intersection of data and AI. This is an opportunity to take charge of complex, high-stakes projects, bringing together talented project managers and engineers to deliver exceptional results for our GenAI lab partners.

You will guide cross-functional teams in the execution of advanced data annotation projects that power next-generation AI solutions. With autonomy and authority, you’ll have the freedom to innovate and the responsibility to execute with precision, speed, and craftsmanship.

This role is based in our dedicated tech hub in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 2 days in the office per week.

Your Day to Day

  • Lead cross-functional AI initiatives – Manage and execute high-stakes AI data projects, ensuring technical and operational excellence.
  • Partner with AI Labs – Collaborate to define project requirements, success metrics, and quality measurement frameworks.
  • Translate strategy into execution – Break down abstract goals into clear action plans, leveraging existing tools and building new solutions as needed.
  • Unblock yourself and the team – Proactively identify and resolve dependencies, leveraging your technical expertise to keep projects moving.
  • Communicate with precision – Provide stakeholders and leadership with clear, actionable updates, ensuring alignment and proactive risk mitigation.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree, or higher, in computer science, engineering, or related STEM fields.Working proficiency in SQL and Python 
  • Familiarity with BI tools, like Looker, to track performance and visualize key insights.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Asana, or Notion to track project progress and drive execution.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and operational teams, translating complex requirements into clear execution plans.
  • You thrive in high-stakes, fast-paced environments – You’re energized by solving complex challenges and driving high-impact initiatives with urgency and precision.
  • You take ownership and move fast – You don’t wait for direction; you proactively identify opportunities, tackle roadblocks, and drive execution.

Labelbox strives to ensure pay parity across the organization and discuss compensation transparently.  The expected annual base salary range for United States-based candidates is below. This range is not inclusive of any potential equity packages or additional benefits. Exact compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills and competencies, experience, and geographical location.

Annual base salary range

$150,000$175,000 USD
