Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Manager - Conveyance Engineering to join our team in Great Toronto Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all technical aspects of our water and wastewater projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the technical team in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater projects.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex engineering problems related to water and wastewater conveyance systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
- Lead proposal efforts and contribute to proposal preparation, including technical approaches and presentations.
- Coordinate and facilitate approvals from regulating and commenting agencies.
- Ensure continuity of projects through design, tender, and construction phases.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required.
- 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater conveyance systems, infrastructure design, construction, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Proven experience with linear and vertical water projects
- Experience with various construction methods including trenchless technologies and micro tunneling
