Your role as Tech Lead Software Developer
Reporting to Trevor Heselton, Vice-President Member Experience,  your role will be to own the technical discovery for our Member Experience research & strategy projects and delivery of proof-of-concept solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead scoping, refinement and delivery of new features or early proof-of-concepts
  • Ensuring effective collaboration/handoffs with Tech engineering teams, partner with MX leader on how to grow MX capacity
  • Technical discovery (existing architecture, constraints/enablers, new technologies allowing us to innovate)
  • Contribute to feasibility/capability-gap assessments from a tech point of view, recommending new technologies or integrations that may unlock opportunity
  • Advocate for & influence broader technical vision/architecture
  • Contribute/partner to the Tech org to help define technical health scorecard & metrics, ensuring they align to what drives MX
  • Support more junior developers aiding with pair programming/code reviews and ensuring member-impacting outages are addressed expeditiously

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • 5 + years of experience as a developer
  • Proficiency in Python and React
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills — building strong partnerships with your collaborators and you represent the team effectively in cross-functional settings.
  • Experience mentoring developers and supporting their growth through thoughtful feedback


Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
