Your Role: Team Lead, Engineering – Gift & Loyalty

Your Focus
- Technical Leadership:
- Contribute hands-on through coding, design, and reviews using PHP, Symfony, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Lead architectural design to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions that balance speed and quality.
- Troubleshoot complex challenges and champion clean coding standards, automated testing (PHPUnit, Cypress), and modern DevOps practices.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap, driving modernization and long-term maintainability.
- Contribute hands-on through coding, design, and reviews using PHP, Symfony, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Team Leadership:
- Guide your team through agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos) to ensure alignment and momentum.
- Partner with Product Owners to translate business needs into actionable development tasks.
- Shield the team from distractions, remove blockers, and foster a collaborative environment built on trust and psychological safety.
- Ensure predictable delivery of high-quality, tested code while continuously refining team processes.
- Guide your team through agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos) to ensure alignment and momentum.

- Break down complex projects into technical tasks with realistic commitments.
- Track progress, provide visibility into risks and timelines, and collaborate with other team leads to improve cross-team initiatives.

Who You Are
- Experienced: 8+ years in software development with deep expertise in PHP, Symfony (or similar), MySQL, and Doctrine ORM.
- Tech-Savvy: Skilled in JavaScript (jQuery, AngularJS, or similar) and testing frameworks like PHPUnit and Cypress.
- Strong Leader: Proven experience mentoring or leading teams, with a passion for developing talent and fostering collaboration.
- Agile Minded: Solid understanding of Scrum or Kanban, with the ability to facilitate ceremonies and keep the team focused.
- Problem-Solver: Analytical, detail-oriented, and always looking for ways to raise the bar.
- Growth-Oriented: Embraces feedback, innovation, and continuous learning—for yourself and your team.
