About the role .
We seek a tax intern who aspires to pursue a future career as a Tax analyst. This is an opportunity to join the McCain team in our Toronto office starting in May 2026 and working through August 2026. At McCain, we operate under a hybrid model, with three days spent in the office and the remainder working remotely.
In this role, the successful individual will be assigned to one of our pre-approved rotations, gain hands on experience in tax planning and strategy, compliance optimization, reporting and corporate taxation. The individual will act as a partner to support the day-to-day operations. You will also have the opportunity to gain insight into several business areas.
What you'll be doing.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Tax Compliance and Reporting, this position will be responsible for:
• Preparation of quarterly and year-end income tax provisions
• Preparation of corporate income tax returns, sales tax returns, non-resident tax compliance, withholding taxes and other tax filings on a timely basis
• Preparation of tax budget and forecast working papers as required
• Assisting with responses to income tax audits
• Assisting with Transfer Pricing compliance and benchmarking studies
• Assisting with tax planning and cash repatriation
• Researching and analyzing various ad hoc tax situations
• Assisting with process improvements by building efficiencies through automation or streamlining

Compensation Package :
$25.00 - $30.50 CAD hourly wage equivalent, paid salary.
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
