As a Systems Engineering Manager at Kepler, you will be responsible for leading and developing a world-class team of engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a vision and growth strategy for the systems engineering team.
  • Assist in system specifications for highly complex technical projects.
  • Provide System based analysis for project developments.
  • Coordinate the system and sub-system requirements verification matrices.
  • Manage activities of the systems engineering teams.
  • Advocate for design to cost, design for test and design for manufacturability.
  • Troubleshoot system behaviour anomalies, determine root cause analysis and provide technical guidance to steer the team towards resolution.
  • Clearly communicate with engineering stakeholders on test and verification plans.
  • Tool/MBSE-lite implementation.
  • Configuration management and management of design information standards.
  • Implement and promote a rapid pace of innovation by personifying a “can-do” attitude.
  • Support design engineering on DFMA, DFT and PFMEA.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring, during weekly 1:1’s, conduct semiannual performance reviews, and inspire your team to achieve mission success utilizing Kepler Career Development and Learning & Development programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment in a high-reliability technology industry.
  • Direct experience in a systems engineering role in a multidisciplinary development project.
  • Experience with systems engineering and requirements management/verification tools.
  • 2+ years’ experience leading and managing teams and technical staff.
  • Ability to recruit, integrate and train new employees.
  • Adapts well to changes in priorities and effectively deals with ambiguity.
  • Results-driven, metrics oriented and highly analytical skills to drive improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to distil complex problems to fundamentals to solve with analysis, similarity, or creativity.

Bonus Points:

  • Previous work experience in the Space Industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of space environment and development standards such as GSFC-STD-7000 (GEvS), IPC J-STD-001 S, ECSS, CCSDS, MIL-STD-1540, ASTM E595, etc.
