We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team. You will report to the Senior Manager of IT.

You Will

  • Ensure a seamless and secure digital experience for BenchSci employees by providing comprehensive technical support, managing employee workstations (including deployment and security with MDM solutions like JAMF and Intune), and troubleshooting any hardware or software issues.
  • Be a champion of AI adoption, exploring and implementing cutting-edge solutions that enhance productivity and drive innovation across the Organization.
  • Administer and support our diverse suite of SaaS applications, including Google Workspace, Okta, Crowdstrike, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Office 365, Atlassian products, 1Password, Monday.com, Guru, Salesforce, GitHub, and Google Cloud Platform IAM.
  • Oversee the office network infrastructure (wired and wireless) to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and a secure environment for all users.
  • Manage the technical aspects of employee onboarding and off boarding, including provisioning/deploying hardware and managing user accounts across various systems (with automated provisioning/deactivation).
  • Take ownership of impactful collaborative projects that advance our strategic goals and provide opportunities for you to learn new technologies and expand your skill set.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.

You Have

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Practical experience managing and troubleshooting macOS and Windows operating systems in a business environment.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience managing wired and wireless networks.
  • Experience with administering and supporting a variety of SaaS applications, ideally with some familiarity with the tools listed above.
  • Ability to set up and maintain hybrid conference room A/V systems (hardware & software), including Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, and MS Teams.A proactive problem-solver with a structured approach, capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to remote users of all levels.

Bonus Points

  • A desire to stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving world of IT, demonstrated by a commitment to continuous learning and exploration of new technologies.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash), no-code programming (Okta Workflow), and experience with API and Webhooks.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, Okta Certified Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator, Jamf 100, etc).
